Highlanders, Gators Split

The McLennan
Highlanders split todays doubleheader with the
second-ranked San Jacinto Gators.
San Jacinto took game one 4-0. Braden Embry had a
double for the Highlanders and Landon Stanford took
the loss on the mound.
MCC bounced back to win the second game, 3-2 in 10
innings. Cliff Archibald picked up the win and
Garrett Carey went 3-5 including a double and the
single in the 10th to score the winning run.
The Highlanders are 3-1 on the season and travel to
Lufkin on Saturday for a 2 p.m. doubleheader at
Angelina.
